happy thursday, friends! wedding season is in full swing, and i am looking forward to sharing all of the pretty i’ve been photographing these past few weeks!
had a pretty evening with these sweet sisters at wormsloe. the light was perfect and the weather was surprisingly cool.
with their mom being a local interior designer that appreciates pretty things, i loved their choice of pastels for their christmas card photo : )

February 3, 2012 - 11:59 pm - Beautiful, clean images as always Katie.
February 4, 2012 - 12:08 am - thank you, shannon!
i was fortunate enough to shoot cayte’s bridal photos before her beautiful december wedding. loved using bethesda and downtown savannah as our backdrop! excited to share this lovely bride : )

February 13, 2012 - 1:47 pm - GORGE - OUS!!!! Simply gorgeous!
this shoot was very inspiring to me…from the amazing charleston light to scott & lisa’s attire : )
lisa was my high school english teacher for a year, so i was very excited when she emailed me to ask for an anniversary shoot in charleston with she and her husband, scott. it was such an incredible evening to spend with them!
i couldn’t help grinning like an idiot as i was shooting and eventually when i went through their photos. they are just so great together, and it made the photos so much fun to take. i loved how natural it was for them (even if they didn’t think so).
thank you for an inspiring evening, friends!

love this next one! forrest gump bench shot & lisa trying to be serious : )

as a side note: i take no credit for their sweetness. it was all them!
March 28, 2012 - 2:32 pm - LOOOOOOOOVE this engagement session!!!
all i wanted for my 24th birthday was as day with friends…and one of “lauren’s cakes”.
i kept meaning to call her all week to order one, and i suppose she just read my mind ; )
so thankful for the people i get to know & photograph! lauren, thank you for sharing your talent and being so sweet! you made my day!!

i received an email from anna a few months ago letting me know that she and her family would be traveling from london to visit her grandfather in hilton head for a few weeks. they were hoping they could have some family photos while they were there (as they usually do), but their photographer, nate henderson, had just moved to texas and had sent them my way.
i showed up to a private area of hilton head and could not have been more excited to hear british accents from archie and miles, and to meet their new little brother : ) anna told me that she just wanted to go with the flow and document the boys doing whatever it is they were doing.
i completely enjoyed this laid back family shoot, and am so thankful i was able to spend a summer evening with them!

i realize i haven’t blogged in for-e-ver, but i just wanted to post a film shot of my lovely friend, caitlin. the thing that i love about film is the tones and overall amazingness, but it also challenges you to really look at the image you are taking (instead of taking 5 of the same shot on a digital camera).
i am blessed with pretty friends, and look forward to posting more soon!

happy 6 months to my beautiful niece, adah katherine : )
i recently realized that i have posted not one single photo of adah on my blog, and i figured i’d wait till i had quite a collection to choose from!
it has been SO amazing to get to know this little lady over the past 6 months. it makes me happy that she not only recognizes my camera, but also happens to recognize my face without a camera (and still smiles!). while it stinks that she is growing way too fast, it doesn’t hurt that she gets cuter every day. it’s kind of ridiculous.
i am so thankful to know her and hold her and love her. i am so happy to continue documenting her first year (and her life..).
and since she is advanced and can already read: i love you, little lady! the past 6 months have definitely made me smile more : )
and now a little timeline of that past 6 months:

August 26, 2011 - 9:01 am - She is so precious! So happy for you Aunt Katie!
i love dan & rachel. i mean, i only met them on their wedding day, but if i knew nothing more about them, i’d have to say that they are one of the sweetest couples i have had the pleasure of meeting and photographing : )
when i walked into windows on the wateway and saw tables of peonies in blue & white vases (that rachel had been collecting for their wedding), i knew that the day would be amazing! everything about the day was lovely…from rachel’s completely calm demeanor to the pride on dan’s face as he watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. i was fortunate to shoot with michael edde that day, and i kept telling him that i wanted to be their best friend : )
and the wedding party and guests? just as awesome. and beautiful. they have a lot of beautiful friends!
i am so excited to share this day, and so thankful that dan & rachel let me be a part of it!

locations: Windows on the Waterway, Hilton Head
rachel’s dress: J.Crew (it’s amazing!!)
i first met robert & emily at their wedding that i helped shoot with misty! misty gave me a call to see if i was available for their shoot, and i was so excited!
they are such a pretty and fun family, and i definitely wasn’t shocked when emily showed up as a beautiful pregnant lady ; )
i had so much fun with y’all, and i can’t wait to meet and photograph lexi!!
